Hi, I’m Sean.
Sean Thorpe · Owner, Modern Pest Control

That’s the standard I bring to the job.
I’ve worked in pest control for more than 20 years. I got my start with my wife Susie’s parents’ pest-control business, and in 2016 I founded Modern Pest Control.
Susie and I have seven children. Family shapes the way I look at this work: your house is where you raise your kids, make dinner and want to feel comfortable. When a pest problem interrupts that, I take it personally.
I’m proud of my years in the business, but what matters most to me is how you feel about the service you receive. I want you to feel heard, understand the plan and be happy you called us.
I personally mentor and train our technicians, and I stay involved in the everyday work of the business. I answer calls and texts and handle scheduling, so your first conversation can be with the person behind Modern.

Raising a family has taught me how much a household budget matters. I do my best to keep service fairly priced while holding the quality of our work to a high standard. We’ll talk through the options and costs so you can make an informed decision.

My approach is to select products carefully and target treatments to the pest problem, avoiding unnecessary pesticide use. Tell us about children, pets and how you use your home so we can explain the treatment plan and any preparation or precautions.

We’ll discuss what assessment may be needed, explain the proposed service and answer your questions. You should know how to prepare and what to watch for afterward.
Respect for your home.
We text ahead, wear shoe covers indoors and explain the process. Let us know about access needs or anything else that would help us care for your space. If you have a concern afterward, reach out so we can talk it through.
